Service Package for Children with Special Needs

The program has been launched in 2002 after winning a PHARE project called "Children First". The project was initiated by DGASPC Mures in partnership with Alpha Transilvana Foundation.

The counseling, speech instruction, art therapy and physiotherapy rooms together with 6 rooms for educational groups are situated on the ground floor of the Alpha Transilvana center. 

From 2003 until 2009 the Mures County Council financed the program partially.

1.177 non-institutionalized children with disabilities in Mures County
According to DGASPC Mures there are families with 1.177 non-institutionalized children with disabilities.

"Perseverenta" (Perseverance) day center stands for and supports the needs of these children with severe disabilities and their families through the day program and ambulatory care.
