Ambulatory Services


Besides the Day Center, Alpha Transilvana Foundation provides social services for children with less severe disabilities through The Ambulatory Center.

The goals of these services are:

-  improving the emotional state, communication, school and social integration of children with special needs

- facilitating school integration for these children

- supporting their parents

- promoting the image of people with disabilities and changing the wrong mentality that exists about these people

The beneficiaries are children with special needs aged between 3 and 18 and their parents. 

Activities include:

-  assessment: psycho pedagogic, physiotherapeutic,  speech instruction, psychological assessment of the child

-  individual interventions (psycho pedagogic, physiotherapeutic,  speech instruction, psychological) adapted to each child's specific needs

-  efficient systematic monitoring of the intervention: re-assessment, follow-up
- counseling the parents during individual and group sessions

- informing and supporting teaching staff concerning the problems of children with special needs
