"Perseverenta (Perseverance)" Day Center

Motto: Enjoy what you have.

1.177 non-institutionalized children with disabilities

According to DGASPC Mures there are families with 1.177 non-institutionalized children with disabilities. "Perseverenta" (Perseverance) day center stands for and supports the needs of these children with severe disabilities and their families through the day program and ambulatory care.

8 hours of work and play for children

The day care program consists of 8 hours of maintenance and recovery activities in alternation with recreational activities. The beneficiaries of this program are 3 to 18 years old children suffering from neuro-psycho-motor disorders, behavioral, educational affections or children with speech disorders. The parents are also actively involved in the recovery process along with their children. They are encouraged to meet the Center's specialists to find ways to help the physical and mental development of their children. These meetings offer parents the opportunity to ask questions and to share their problems with people who know their children closely. On the other hand, these meetings help specialists notice new problems and develop and adapt the therapy program.

The joy to be part of the "Perseverenta" family

Although results are not always spectacular, we, the "Perseverenta" family, and the children's parents are very happy with them.

There are children who took the first steps here and also said their first word here; children who washed their hands by themselves for the first time and learned to eat without an adults' help... here, at Perseverance

The Day Center currently has 33 children in 5 groups:

1. 2 groups for children with autism

2. 2 groups for Hungarian speakers

3. 1 group for Romanian speakers
