Services for young people with disabilities

The ATRIUM program has been launched in 2003 and developed constantly since then. This program has been a real necessity due to the absence of a center providing such services for young people with disabilities in Mures County. Our goal is to help people with disabilities with the employment process, help them develop their ability to be independent and integrate better into society. We also want to help, to assist and prepare the employers for hiring people with disabilities in their companies.

The ATRIUM beneficiaries are young people with disabilities with ages between 18 and 45.

According to information from the National Authority for People with Disabilities, at the end of 2009, in Mures County there were 18062 people with various forms of disability and 4300 with mental disabilities.

According to ANPH (the National Authority for People with Disabilities) 1008 people with disabilities from Mures County had a job at 31.12.2009 from which 55 had mental disorders. Alpha Transilvana Foundation has mediated the employment of 38 people with mental disabilities through the ATRIUM program.
